Community Pantry Volunteers

The Community Pantry Project was born out of the connection and deep desire to extend a hand and help our fellow Kababayans on the land of which the 1st generation Filipino Canadians were born and raised, the Philippines.

Pandemic Response Philippines

The pandemic had disproportionately affected the health of many communities and families, especially those who are less fortunate and continuously struggled to provide for their loved ones. Many households faced job loss and low income which was experienced as consequences of the pandemic.

In partnership with Moonwalk Elementary School in Las Pinas Philippines, the Surrey Filipino Canadian Society donated food care packages to the local communities. We are so grateful for the many volunteers in the Philippines who not only gave their time and effort, but also opened their hearts to ensure the packages were distributed with care.

The Surrey Hospital Foundation plays a vital role in advancing healthcare services and improving the well-being of the community it serves. Through its dedication, innovation, and community support, it continues to make a meaningful difference in the lives of patients and their families. That is why WE, The Surrey Filipino Canadian Society, will always be there where help is needed. In our little way, we are able to extend assistance to our brave health care and hospital staff with the 24/7 Snack Bin program at the Surrey Memorial Foundation.
